The Manor House is located minutes by car from St. John’s Convention Centre, George Street and the harbour. We like the idea of naming our suites. It helps us give them personalities and it helps you identify with our facilities.

The Placentia Room is named for that “far greater bay” – Placentia Bay.  It is an unusual name. It translates from the French Plaisance meaning ‘pleasant place’. Placentia used to be the Old French capital of the area several hundred years ago.

The Placentia is our smallest room – but it is nonetheless airy, bright, and charming.
